Außenwelten

The project 'Außenwelten' ('Outer Worlds') was shot in some small towns in Southern Bavaria, Germany.

All photographs (captured on B/W Ilford Delta ISO 400, 120mm
film and exposed to Fomaspeed photopaper) were taken with
an analog Mamiya large format camera and developed by hand in the darkroom.

The series attempts to expose the banality of everyday life routine in rural villages. It ends with a picture displaying a garbage dump, the last remains of a pulled down building. This image is meant
to symbolize all unfullfilled dreams and desires which likely collide with a deserted reality.
